We welcome infants and toddlers from 6 to 36 weeks, and most children ages 4 to 12 years old. All parents are required to complete an enrollment application for each child. Racial, cultural and economic diversity within our student body is a core tenant of the Ms. Niecy’s Learning Center environment. We celebrate and encourage diversity in our student body and community.
Our philosophy is to care for your babies and toddlers with care, concern and nurturing love just like they would get at home. We give them proper care so they can develop motor skills and function in a healthy and happy environment.
The learning environment is designed to meet the needs of the individual student. We provide an engaging experience that not only equips our students for kindergarten, but also taps into their natural curiosity of the world around them. Our young students will be introduced to letters and sounds to promote pre-reading skills. Additionally, they are introduced to basic math and science concepts.
With a focus on pre-writing and pre-reading skills, students are given a variety of opportunities to stimulate learning and to promote creativity and development. Our curriculum emphasizes a comprehensive approach so that children can experience various aspects of learning to see, feel and touch lessons to develop successfully. Children learn reading, writing, arts, math and more. Through positive reinforcement, we strive to instill the value and joy of learning within every child.
Our hands-on curriculum focuses on the needs of the entire child from first through sixth grade. From first grade to 4th grade, students are experiencing a lot of discovery and curiosity about themselves and the world around them. With strong teachers and a supportive environment, we help to provide these emerging students with a strong foundation for their academic achievement.
Many parents get anxiety around rearing children through the tough years of adolescence. However, at Ms. Niecy’s we welcome children in this age group. We know that shaping children at this age is critical to molding them into young scholars so they will develop into remarkable teenagers with character and substance. We believe that when adolescents are provided with a supportive, nurturing, innovative environment in which to grow and learn, they evolve into who they are meant to become.
